Conference Policies

ENGLISH (VERSION FRANÇAISE À LA SUITE)

CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Participants are expected to arrive on time and to attend all committee sessions in order to receive the certificate of participation and to be eligible for an award at the end of the conference. Roll calls will be taken at the beginning of each committee session.

All participants must dress according to Business Attire.

Participants may not model inappropriate stereotypes or character traits, nor use any offensive language while representing a country.

​

No conversations, including private chat between participants, is allowed during debate. Contents of notes passed in committees must strictly be kept to the agenda topic. All sound-emitting devices must be placed on mute to avoid disturbing the committee session.

​

All participants are required to follow both local government and French government rules and regulations at all times. Illicit substance use and the consumption of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden at the conference.

Participants must respect RIMUN, Sciences Po, local, and national sanitary measures related to COVID-19 during the conference or at any RIMUN-related events.

​

All participants are to respect one another as well as any other participant, chair, volunteer, Board Member or other RIMUN-related agents. Any discrimination including but not limited to— race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, skin color, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age— is strictly prohibited.

Participants are financially responsible for all the expenses related to any potential damages that they may have caused to any of the Sciences Po property, RIMUN property, or any other property used for the purpose of the conference.

Reims Model United Nations does not claim any liability for any potential harm, injury or illness delegates could be affected by while participating at RIMUN 2024.

​

Participants are responsible for their own private property while participating at the conference. RIMUN does not claim responsibility for any damages or loss to the participant’s private property.

​

DATA PROTECTION FORM

I authorize Reims Model United Nations (RIMUN) to take photos or videos of me while I am participating at the conference or at any other RIMUN-related event.

​

The beneficiary of the authorization expressly refrains from making any use of the photographs that may infringe on privacy or reputation, and from using the photographs herein, in any support of a pornographic, racist, xenophobic or any other prejudicial exploitation.

​

I agree that RIMUN 2024 reserves the right to edit and publish any footage taken during and after the conference on social media, the RIMUN website or any other platform without requiring prior notice.

I agree that any data that I may submit to the Sciences Po Model United Nations can be utilized by the RIMUN organization.

​

I acknowledge that I am fully aware of my rights and I will not be able to claim any remuneration for the exploitation of the rights referred to in the present document. I guarantee that I am not bound by an exclusive contract relating to the use of my image or my name.

​

For any dispute arising from the interpretation or execution of the present terms and conditions, the French courts shall have express jurisdiction.

 

CHAIR CONTRACT

(Only applicable to chairs.)

I _______________________________________(name), hereby accept the position of chair of the __________________________________ (committee) at the Reims Model United Nations Conference XIII 2024 which will take place at Sciences Po Campus de Reims, from April 5th to April 7th 2024.

PARTICIPANT CONTRACT (ALL)

I agree to the following terms:

  • I will behave in a manner that befits my position as a team member and representative of RIMUN. This includes the time before as well as during the conference.

  • I will behave respectfully and courteously at all times when dealing with anyone involved with RIMUN. I acknowledge that no form of racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory behavior based on race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, is acceptable.

  • I will allow the Secretariat to use my image and information related to my experience in participation in Model United Nations conferences (provided in the application form) for the purpose of promoting RIMUN 2024.

 

Before the Conference:

  • I will make a payment before February 9th (Chairs) and March 15th (Delegates), 2024, either by wire transfer, PayPal, or MyMun.   • I will meet all deadlines assigned to me and communicate any questions or requests for extensions of such deadlines to the Chair Coordinator well in advance.

  • I will make travel arrangements to Reims in advance of the conference. I am aware of the possibility that I will not receive any subsidies or scholarships for travel-related purposes.

  • I will fill in the Minor Waiver Google Form, if I am under 18 years of age, before March 15th, in order to confirm my place at the conference. I understand that if I do not, I may be barred from entry.

During the conference :

  • I will report any problems I might have (including disruptive delegates, logistical concerns, health concerns or any other situation) to the Secretariat as soon as I become aware of them.

  • I will show up to all Opening and Closing ceremonies, social events, committee sessions and chairing meetings as required and on time. Should I have any valid reason not to be able to do so, I will inform the Chair coordinator well in advance. I will fulfill my role to the best of my abilities, act responsibly and act without any bias or favoritism towards delegates.

  • I understand that the Secretariat can (without notice) reallocate, reassign or terminate my position if I fail to abide by these terms and conditions.

 

FRANÇAIS

CODE DE CONDUITE

Les participants se doivent de respecter le code de conduite suivant. Toute infraction à l’une des règles suivantes pourra conduire à l’expulsion du contrevenant de la conférence.

Les participants se doivent d’être ponctuels et d’assister à l’intégralité des débats en comité afin de recevoir le certificat de participation et d’être éligible à un prix à la fin de la conférence. Des appels seront effectués au début de chaque séance du Comité.

Tous les participants doivent s’habiller d’une manière formelle.

Les participants sont invités à ne pas user de stéréotypes inappropriés ou quelconque forme de langage offensif lorsqu’ils représentent un pays dans le cadre de la simulation.

​

Aucun bavardage, y compris entre participants, n’est autorisé pendant le débat. Le contenu des notes transmises en comité doit être strictement lié au sujet à l’ordre du jour. Tous les dispositifs émettant du son doivent être mis en sourdine afin de ne pas déranger le travail du comité.

​

Tous les participants sont tenus de respecter en tout temps les règles et règlements des administrations locales et du gouvernement français. La consommation de substances illicites, d’alcool ou de drogues est strictement interdite durant la conférence.

​

Les participants se doivent de respecter les mesures sanitaires liées à la COVID-19 prises par Sciences Po, le RIMUN et les autorités locales et nationales durant l’intégralité de la conférence et des évènements en lien avec le RIMUN.

​

Tous les participants sont tenus de se respecter mutuellement ainsi que tout autre participant, président, bénévole, membre du Conseil ou autre agent lié à RIMUN. Toute discrimination, notamment liée à la religion, la nationalité, l’ethnicité, le handicap, le sexe, l’identité de genre, l’orientation sexuelle ou l’âge, est strictement interdite.

Les participants sont financièrement responsables des dommages potentiels qu’ils pourraient causer aux infrastructures du campus ou plus largement à toutes les propriétés du RIMUN.

Le Reims Model United Nations décline toutes formes de responsabilité pour tous dommages, blessures, ou maladies dont les participants pourraient potentiellement être victimes durant leur participation à RIMUN 2024.

Les participants sont responsables de la perte ou de la détérioration de leurs biens lors de leur participation à la conférence. RIMUN décline toute responsabilité pour tous dommages survenus durant la durée de la conférence.

 

FORMULAIRE DE PROTECTION DES DONNÉES PERSONNELLES

J’autorise le Reims Model United Nations (RIMUN) à prendre des photos ou des vidéos de moi durant ma participation à la conférence ou à tout événement lié à RIMUN.

Le bénéficiaire de l’autorisation s’abstient expressément d’utiliser les photographies qui pourraient porter atteinte à la vie privée ou à la réputation personnelle, et de les utiliser à l’appui d’une exploitation pornographique, raciste, xénophobe ou toute autre forme d’exploitation préjudiciable.

Je consens à ce que RIMUN 2024 se réserve le droit de publier et de modifier toute séquence prise pendant et après la conférence sur les réseaux sociaux, le site Web de RIMUN ou toute autre plateforme sans préavis.

Je consens à ce que toutes les données que je pourrais transmettre au Reims Model United Nations puissent être utilisées par l’organisation RIMUN.

Je reconnais avoir pleinement conscience de mes droits et ne pouvoir réclamer aucune rémunération pour l’exploitation des droits mentionnés dans le présent document. Je vous garantis que je ne suis pas lié par un contrat exclusif relatif à l’utilisation de mon image ou de mon nom.

Pour tout litige découlant de l’interprétation ou de l’exécution des présentes conditions, les tribunaux français sont expressément compétents.

CONTRAT DU PRÉSIDENT DU COMITÉ

(Uniquement applicable aux Présidents de comité)

Moi, _______________________________ (nom, prénom), par cet écrit, accepte la position de Président.e du/de la ___________________________ (comité) à la conférence Reims Model United Nations 2024 qui aura lieu au campus de Sciences Po à Reims, du 5 avril au 7 avril 2024.

CONTRAT PARTICIPANT (TOUS)

J’accepte les règles suivantes:

  • J’accepte de me comporter de manière convenable en tant que membre d’équipe et représentant.e de RIMUN, que ce soit pendant la conférence ou bien pendant le reste du séjour.

  • J’accepte de me comporter de manière respectueuse et courtoise à chaque moment, et ce avec toutes les personnes concernées par le RIMUN. J’admets que toute forme de racisme, sexisme, ou encore de discrimination fondée sur la couleur de peau, les croyances religieuses, le genre et son expression, l’âge, la nationalité, l’ethnie, le handicap, le statut marital, l’orientation sexuelle, ou encore le statut militaire est formellement interdite et à proscrire.

  • J’autorise le Secrétariat à utiliser mon image et les informations reliées à mon expérience lors de ma participation aux conférences Model United Nations (communiquées lors du formulaire d’inscription) dans le cadre de la promotion du RIMUN 2024.

Avant la conférence:

  • Je dois effectuer mon paiement avant le 9 février (Chairs) ou mars 15 (déléguées) 2024, soit par virement bancaire, PayPal ou MyMun.   • Je promets de respecter toutes les dates limites qui me sont assignées et de communiquer toute question ou demande pour l’extension de ces dates limites en avance auprès du Coordinateur de Présidence.

  • J’organiserai mon trajet jusqu’à Reims bien en avance, et suis au courant de la possibilité que je ne recevrai aucune subvention ou bourse pour le voyage.

  • Je remplirai le formulaire Minor Waiver Google Form, si j'ai moins de 18 ans, avant le 15 mars, afin de confirmer ma place à la conférence. Je comprends que si je ne le fais pas, l'entrée pourrait m' être interdite.

Pendant la conférence:

  • Je tiendrai au courant le Secrétariat de tout problème subi ou remarqué le plus tôt possible (incluant délégués perturbateurs, problèmes logistiques, problèmes de santé ou toute autre situation).

  • Je serai présent.e aux cérémonies d’ouverture et de clôture, évènements, sessions de comité, et aux rencontres de Présidence auxquelles on m’a convié.e. Je dois avoir une raison valide pour ne pas être présent.e, et j’en informerai le Coordinateur de Présidence au préalable.

  • Je vais remplir mon rôle en donnant le meilleur de moi, acter de manière responsable et ce, sans parti pris ni favoritisme envers d’autres délégué.es.

  • Je comprends que le Secrétariat peut (sans en notifier au préalable) réaffecter, ou mettre fin à ma position si j’échoue à me contraindre et à respecter ces termes et conditions.
